It’s nothing worse than going for those “special pieces” to spice up the night only to discover your lingerie has lost a battle between your washer and your favorite red cherry blouse. So here’s a few helpful “Lingerie Care” tips from House of Miraj to help you avoid these issues. As you know lingerie and other garments come with care instructions on their tags but if you’re anything like me you ignore them…OFTEN. You think what the heck it’s just panties right??? Wrong!!! Lol.
Tip #1- The tip to keeping your lingerie looking its best is to READ the care instructions for each individual lingerie garment. A simple change in the lingerie’s fabric can make a difference in the way it needs to be washed.
TIP #2- Another tip when it comes to lingerie care would be to invest in a lingerie bag. With the exception of underwire pieces most lingerie is made from a very delicate fabric, but most lingerie can be washed in a washing machine using Coldwater and a lingerie bag. This particular item is extremely useful because it protects the lingerie from being ruined after being rubbed against harsher fabrics such as denim. The laundry bag will also prevent the pieces from becoming tangled up with other articles of clothing. (For my fellow penny pinchers a pillowcase will work just fine.
Tip #3- The next big tip on keeping lingerie in tack would be to SKIP THE DRYER. High temperatures can cause your lingerie to shrink, change shape in some cases even melt, this can also result in materials becoming faded. So allow your pieces to air dry but reframe from hanging them that as well can cause items to stretch.
Tip#4- When selecting a detergent always go for those created for delicates.
Tip #5- The safest way to keep your lingerie full of life and spunk would be to roll up those sleeves and get those hands wett. That’s right by handwashing instead of by machine your lingerie will get the gentle care it deserves.
As you can see it’s not much work to keep your sexy pieces working make sure to put these tips to good use when purchasing from the house of Miraj.
